Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have expressed deep concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, caused by the ongoing Israeli military offensive. This issue was discussed during the official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) during Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both countries have agreed to strengthen coordination in providing emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.
The official joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) highlighted the commitment of both nations to continue offering humanitarian aid and support for recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. In addition to addressing the Gaza situation, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia also underscored their mutual determination to deepen cooperation in ensuring international stability and security. They pledged to work together to promote regional peace and enhance global resilience.
The meeting took place at Al-Salam Palace in a friendly atmosphere, underscoring the strong strategic ties between the two countries. Images published by SPA showed President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engaged in discussions, with the flags of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in the background. This commitment reflects Indonesia’s consistent foreign policy of supporting the Palestinian cause and engaging in humanitarian diplomacy on the global stage.
