President Prabowo Subianto’s official visit to Saudi Arabia on July 1, 2025, was warmly received in a Jeddah hotel lobby. Indonesian elementary school children living in the city greeted the President with enthusiasm, waving flags and chanting, “Welcome, Mr. President!” The formal reception quickly turned into a joyous and emotional gathering as President Prabowo interacted with the children, smiling and posing for photos. During the interaction, one student named Arsad Hanfana Al-Syarabi, whose parents work at the Indonesian Embassy in Jeddah, proudly introduced himself. Before continuing his visit, President Prabowo shared a heartfelt message with the children, encouraging them to focus on their studies.
The encounter was also meaningful for members of the Indonesian community in Jeddah, including Hanif Hasanuddin from the Muhammadiyah Special Branch (PCIM). Expressing gratitude for the President’s visit, Hanif shared his hopes for Indonesia’s future. Accompanied by several high-ranking Indonesian officials, President Prabowo’s visit not only strengthened diplomatic ties but also created a lasting impact on the young generation in Saudi Arabia, fostering a strong connection with the Indonesian community living abroad.
