Toyota TRD Pro Adds New Wave Maker Color Option
Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup has always offered some excellent color options throughout its history: Army Green, Electric Lime, Terra, Mudbath, and more. This year, Toyota has added another sweet color to its already strong palette: Wave Maker.
Wave Maker was developed by Toyota’s Calty Design team and marks the eleventh unique paint option for the TRD Pro lineup. It is one of the five colors available on TRD Pro models for 2025, alongside Ice Cap, Magnetic Grey, Midnight Black, and Mudbath.
“We have had warm, earthy colors inspired by traditional landscapes for several years such as Terra and Mudbath as signature colors. With Wave Maker, we were inspired by untouched adventure areas, including extreme environments and even beyond Earth. Wave Maker expresses the spirit of elements that evoke glacial depths and new frontiers.” – Benjamin Jimenez, General Manager, Calty Ann Arbor.
This new color is similar to the Heritage Blue offered on other models like the 4Runner and Land Cruiser, but it still has its own uniqueness. It stands out from its sibling colors with a brighter finish and more blue-green hues. In fact, there are not many colors on the market currently that can match it.
Wave Runner will be available on the TRD Pro versions of the 4Runner, Tacoma, Tundra, and Sequoia starting later this year. Toyota has not confirmed if there will be an additional cost, but expect a price increase of between $350 to $475 if there is (which is highly likely).
Overall, the addition of Wave Maker to Toyota’s TRD Pro lineup adds a refreshing and distinctive color option for those looking to stand out on the road or trail.
