Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, along with the 6th President of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), attended a gathering and prayer event with ulama and community leaders from Aceh at the Ballroom Hermes Palace Hotel, Banda Aceh, on Tuesday (26/12).
The event also commemorates the 19th anniversary of the Aceh tsunami that occurred on December 26, 2004. During the gathering, the ulama and community leaders conveyed their messages and hopes to Prabowo if he is elected as the President of Indonesia for the 2024-2029 period.
Represented by Walidi H. Mustafa Sarong, one of the messages from the ulama and community leaders of Aceh was for Prabowo to continue the good deeds that have been done for Aceh. They expressed their hope that Aceh will remain safe, comfortable, peaceful, and tranquil under Prabowo’s leadership.
They also hope for the continued peace in Aceh under Prabowo’s leadership, and they pray for his continued health in carrying out the interests of the nation.
